Well-loved Filipina actress, Angelica Panganiban shared some of her realizations and experiences as a first-time mom. Panganiban gave birth to her daughter, Amila Sabine, in September. When the actress first announced her pregnancy in March, she stated that becoming a mother would be her most important and most-awaited role.

Now, a few months after Amila's birth, Panganiban shared a lengthy post on Instagram that narrates her experiences and how she had to make self-sacrifices to dedicate her whole day to her daughter.

In her post, Panganiban gave honor to all mothers and shared her experiences, including the responsibilities they have to juggle while keeping an eye on their baby and how breastfeeding would consequently become a mom's main priority.

In truth, her experiences are very much what most mothers experience as spending time with their newborn can entail very early mornings.

Further, Panganiban also shares that moms should be ready when they breastfeed. This includes collecting all their necessities such as phones, chargers, water, snacks, and remote controls. This is because mothers won't be able to move freely once their child is settled in their arms.

The actress also shares that, while it might be a struggle for some moms, they would also have to adjust what they wear to accommodate breastfeeding. It might also come to the point where you might not have time to dress up or even brush your hair.

Panganiban also encourages and advises moms to eat a lot but quickly, she shares that: "kumain ng marami at mabilis. Pero bawal ang kalansing ng kubyertos at baka magising mo ang nabudol mong baby."

Lastly, she also states the importance of sleep and keeping a calm mind. According to Panganiban, "matulog kapag tulog si baby. Subukang pakalmahin ang isip. I know madami tayong gustong gawin at ma accomplish. Pero, tanggapin mo nang, hindi ka naman talaga makakatayo sa kinauupuan mo. Kaya matuto kang matulog ng nakaupo."

Mommies, it might be a struggle at first but know that you are not alone and that you can always ask for help if need be. Being a mother is a fulfilling role and, arguably, it's one that many women look forward to if making a family is a part of their goals. However, women should also realize that with this great role comes many responsibilities that would sometimes require just a bit of sacrifice.

In the end, all will be worth it and you will soon see the fruits of your labor.

Keep on hustling, mommies! We have your back!
